Description:Virtual excursion on museum "Kuskovo"
Development of virtual excursion on museum-manor "Kuskovo" is aimed at attraction of attention to opportunities of technology VRML in the field of a museum affair and tourism.
The project can be applied as to personal use and start from the device of CD ROM, and with a view of accommodation in a network the Internet.
The problem of the project ? to show the user museum-manor "Kuskovo" and to interest it so that it has decided to visit a museum in real, instead of in the virtual world.
The decided problem includes maintenance of interactivity of the user in virtual space. Thus it is necessary to observe the following conditions:
1. An opportunity of interaction with surrounding subjects;
2. Maintenance of the maximal speed of data processing;
3. Maintenance of reliability of functioning of the project.
Creation of the VRML-world will consist of the following stages:
1. Departure a place and photographing.
2. Construction on the basis of photos 3D models and creation of structures.
Construction of models was carried out in the program of three-dimensional modelling 3D Studio Max 6.0. It is very powerful software package used in various areas (from processing games before creation of special effects in feature films).
3. Translation of models in format VRML, their editing and optimization.
What is VRML?
VRML-Virtual Reality Modeling Language - a format of files for the description of interactive three-dimensional objects and the worlds. VRML can be used on the Internet, in the intranet networks and in local appendices. It reflected as a universal format of an exchange for integration three-dimensional schedules and multmedia.
VRML is three-dimensional analogue HTML. It means, that it enough simple multiplatform language for the publication of Webs-pages.
For creation of the virtual world objects have been exported from a format 3D Studio Max in format WRL. It is a format of the description of the three-dimensional worlds in language VRML.
Modern technologies in a combination to our experts allow to expand opportunities of the program and to improve its quality. The given project can have continuation.
