Open Coordination meeting of the Russian and International public organisations in the sphere of culture
“Cultural Policy and Coordination of the leading cultural public organization for creating and preserving digital cultural and scientific heritage”
Representatives of the following public organizations took part in the Coordination Meeting:
- Russian branch of ICOM
- Russian branch of ICOMOS
- International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA)
- Russian Committee of the UNESCO “Information for All” Programme
- Russian Library Association
- Public Committee for facilitating of Russian Libraries Development
- Museum Union of Russia
- Council for Archives, Russian Federation
- Museum Association for Documentation and Technologies (ADIT), Russian Federation
- Russian Digital Libraries Association
with participation of the Ministry of Culture and Cinematography, Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography, administrations of some Russian regions and with participation of the “EVA 2007 Moscow” delegates.
It was decided to establish a Coordination Council for formulating Russian cultural policy and coordinating activities of all interested public bodies in the Russian Federation which will delegate their representatives.
The second Open Coordination Meeting was held at the 11th International Conference “EVA 2008 Moscow” with the topic “Strategic Plan for the UNESCO Information For All Programme (2008 - 2013)”.
The third Open Coordination meeting will be held at the 12th International Conference “EVA 2009 Moscow” December, 2, 2009.
The theme of the third Open Coordination meeting is «The Role of Public Institutions in International Cooperation for Development and Preservation of Digital Cultural Information Resources».
